Job Description: Electrical Assembler

Our client, a dynamic local, leader in manufacturing, has an immediate need for an Electrical Assembler. This is an excellent opportunity to join a local Portland company with a passion for its people.

Responsibilities: 

The assembler will fabricate controls to print, including layout and physical mounting of components to the back panel, wiring of all components, installation of control panel onto equipment, and testing to ensure proper operation.  Read and understand product blueprints and assembly work instructions.

  • It is required that this position actively supports the company and all employees and customers in a positive manner.
  • Route and bundle wire and cables neatly to meet wiring standards.
  • Provide dimension and layout of back panels and enclosures.
  • Provide point to point wiring of relays, controls, PLCs, I/O Modules, VFDs, Interfaces, & Instrumentation
  • Troubleshoot panels as needed to eliminate wiring errors and component malfunctions.
  • Maintain red line drawing mark-ups of changes required during fabrication.
  • Communicate red line changes to Engineer or Supervisor for revision prior to completion.
  • Communicate effectively with all team members, leads, builders, engineers and the Project Manager
  • Can meet deadlines under pressure
  • Have a high standard of quality and attention to detail.
  • Mark electrical labeling.
  • Have knowledge of pneumatics.
  • Have a valid Drivers License.
  • Perform all other duties assigned by supervisor or manager.

Qualifications/Knowledge:

To be successful, the individual in this position must be:

  • Knowledgeable: The individual has a High School diploma or equivalent, technical school attendance a plus.

Wage:  $20 to $24 per hour DOE / Additional $2 per hour for swing shift differential 

Shift:
2nd Shift Monday thru Thursday 4pm to 2:30am
