Do you have a passion for customer service, preferably in retail or wholesale sales? Are you a high character individual who is known for doing the right thing?
Atlas Staffing is searching for a Customer Service Representative for a local construction supply company in Portland, OR.
The ideal candidate will have 2 years experience working in customer service or in a counter sales role.
The Responsibilities Include:
- Provide excellent customer service using professional communication skills.
- Maintain customer relationships.
- Uses product knowledge to make recommendations while up selling the customer appropriately.
- Possesses ability to overcome objections or concerns of potential customers by utilizing technical expertise.
- Responsible for the balancing and processing credit card settlements and cash deposits.
- Coordinates purchases of materials for re-sale through the Supervisor to ensure duplicate orders are avoided.
- ·Handles incoming customer complaints in a prompt and courteous manner; owns the problem until resolved, including the direction of delivery and warehouse personnel.
- ·Ensures accurate computer transactions.
- ·Participates in monthly cycle counts.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Two years prior inside/counter sales or customer service experience (preferably in the building material distribution industry).
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Must have excellent customer service and people skills.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds repeatedly.
Wage: $20-$22/hr with bonus potential.
Shift: Mon-Fri, 7:00am – 4:00pm
