Do you like working with your hands to ensure a clean and safe work environment? Atlas Staffing is hiring for a swing shift Sanitation Tech position for a food manufacturing company in Spokane Valley! This is a full-time temp to hire position with opportunity for advancement.
Objective: Sanitation/Equipment cleaners will perform sanitation/cleaning duties in a manufacturing environment coordinating all cleaning tasks with production schedules to ensure minimal equipment downtime. Cleaners will maintain and clean all bakery equipment, line equipment, and other surfaces.
Sanitation Tech Responsibilities:
- Heavy sanitation of dishes using an industrial dishwasher, stacking and drying dishes.
- Cleaning of food-contact and non-food-contact surfaces throughout the facility, including internal parts and surfaces of machinery and equipment.
- Disposing of facility waste and scraps in designated areas.
- Using a variety of cleaning tools, buckets, mops, vacuums, brooms, air pressure devices
- Periodically uses scissor lifts and ladders for scheduled maintenance procedures.
- Follow the daily, weekly, monthly, and bi-annual sanitation schedules to ensure the cleanest environment possible for our clients and staff.
Sanitation Tech Qualifications:
- Previous experience in similar sanitation duties at a commercial food production facility or bakery is preferred.
- Work experience in other similar commercial sanitation or industrial cleaning environments may substitute.
- Must have the ability to work thoroughly with attention to detail to meet food safety sanitation standards.
- Must be able to work efficiently and independently to meet task completion requirements during equipment downtime.
- Able to work in an environment containing tree nuts, peanuts, and soy
- Must be able to lift 50lbs repeatedly over the course of an 8+ hour work shift.
Work environment and conditions, travel, potential hazards
- This is a food services and manufacturing environment that requires the use of safety devices including glasses, company supplied smocks, hair, beard, arm nets, and gloves.
- Ability to work in a team-based environment as well as independently.
Wage: $18.00 – 18.00/hr.
Shift: Monday – Friday, 3:00pm – 11:30pm
