You are great at machine operating and enjoy working in a manufacturing environment. Atlas Staffing is seeking a reliable candidate to work with one of our clients in Wapato, WA.

Decanter operator is responsible for ensuring the product sent from the mash cooler to decanter to Pasteurizers 1 & 2 meet the CCP1 guidelines for temperature and flow rate. If the temperature is not within control limits, then the Decanter operator must stop the process and notify the Production and Maintenance Supervisor as well as the Manufacturing and QA Managers.

Responsibilities:
 

• Proper operation of the Decanters and related processes both on the delivery side of this equipment as well as the waste removal process.
• Watch the M/C for 20 minutes of the start-up to ensure no issues.
• Conduct proper CIP on pasteurizers 1&2 and 1 hour flush to filter tanks as well as to finishers.
• Ability to drive forklift.

Pay: $16-20 DOE
Shift: Training on Day Shift moving to a (Swing Shift 3:00pm-11:00pm)

Requirements:

• Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds.
• Must be able to carry 25 pounds up and down 21 stairs.
• Must be able to work in hot, humid and/or cold areas.
• Must be able to safely lift and carry a 51-pound stepladder.
• Must be able to work in hot, humid and/or cold conditions.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED required

Experience:

• Minimum one year experience as a decanter operator preferred. 

 
Education:

Skills

• Able to work any shift, overtime and any or all days of the week in accordance with plant needs.
• Knowledge and awareness of proper lifting techniques.
• Knowledge and awareness of chemicals used for CIP and proper PPI while using them.
• Knowledge and awareness of augers and how to maintain covers and guards.
• Knowledge and proper use of lock-out/tag-out procedures.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Superb organizational skills and attention to detail.
• A demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement.
• Personally invested in the success of the business.
• Motivated, focused and accountable for results.
