Do you like working with in a busy and active environment? Are you a go-getter with experience in a warehouse or production environment? Atlas Staffing is hiring a Lab Technician for a great company in the food manufacturing industry! This is a full-time position with opportunity for advancement.

Objective: In this position, you will be responsible for testing product samples to ensure quality standards are met.

Job Responsibilities:

• Collecting and distribution of samples
• Physical testing of production samples
• Daily calibration of standard lab instruments
• Recording and interpreting test results
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the laboratory environment
• Maintains samples of tested product in order to confirm test results when necessary
• Maintains on-going records of the results of all testing procedures and inputs such data into computer on a daily basis
• Maintains adequate supplies used for testing procedures and notifies the supervisor of the need to re-order such supplies
• Continually compares test results with standards as required to insure that all flour is within specification

Minimum Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and sitting
• Working in a variety of conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc.), lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
• Working from heights, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs
• Maintains a neat and clean working area at all times, washing equipment as required and placing equipment in the proper storage area
• Maintains an effective working relationship with fellow employee
• Performs duties in a safe manner, utilizing all approved safety equipment and successfully completes all safety certification requirements
• Maintains awareness and adheres to all FDA, GMP, BRC, BATF, EPA, OSHA and employer standards and guidelines
• Handles various chemicals in assorted containers in the manner outlined in the manufacturer’s chemical Safety Data Sheet
• Informs supervisor immediately of any hazards, unsafe equipment and/or acts

Available Shift:

• 2^nd Shift: Mon-Fri, 3:00pm-11:30pm (potential for rotating shift)

This role will require 4-6 weeks of paid training. Training will be conducted during 1^st shift; however, it may be necessary for a portion to take place on 3^rd shift.

• Training – 1^st Shift: Mon-Fri, 7:00am-3:30pm
• Training – 3^rd Shift: Mon-Fri, 11:00pm-7:30am

Wage: $19/h
