Manufacturing Engineer Opportunity in Yakima, WA

Manufacturing Engineer Key Responsibilities:
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you'll leverage your expertise in manufacturing, sheet metal formations, and welding processes. Operating with autonomy, you'll be responsible for:

  • Utilizing SolidWorks for modeling parts, sheet metal formations, weldments, and assemblies.
  • Generating detailed, shop-ready drawings with precise sheet metal bend deductions.
  • Measuring sample parts, replicating models, and making adjustments to meet customer specifications.
  • Supporting the quoting process for new parts, defining production processes, and estimating routing times.
  • Programming parts using SigmaNest for CNC Laser cutting.
  • Applying problem-solving tools to identify root causes and implement effective countermeasures.
  • Collaborating with leadership and shop team members to maintain a positive work environment.
  • Designing tools, fixtures, carts, and equipment to enhance production and improvement projects.
  • Creating and updating models of shop floor layouts and participating in flow improvement projects.
  • Serving as the Lead Engineer and Project Manager for new equipment implementations and special projects.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in SolidWorks.
  • Experience in CNC Programming, Laser Nesting, 3D Printing, and familiarity with G-Code.
  • Understanding of and experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Knowledge of basic metal fabrication and manufacturing techniques.
  • Ability to interpret weld callouts and perform weld inspections.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing; familiarity with the Theory of Constraints is a plus.
  • Dependable with a positive attitude and a growth mindset.

Preferred Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Three years of experience with SolidWorks.

Salary Range: $55,000 – $85,000

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
