Atlas Staffing is partnering with a well-established structural steel fabrication company looking for a motivated individual with experience in structural steel fabrication and erection to be a Field Representative. The SWD business area included Arizona, California, New Mexico, Nevada and Southern Utah. Candidates for this position will be required to travel to job sites with the area of SWD purview on a regular basis.

Essential functions may include, but are not limited to:

• Assist in the development and management of construction project delivery schedules in compliance with approved bid requirements, and project approval guidelines.

• Apply design and construction knowledge to monitor assigned projects through construction.

• Build consensus and teamwork with a disparate group of stakeholders, consultants, and contractors.

• Read, interpret, and comprehend contract plans, specifications, addenda, bidding documents, contracts and other related materials and recommend approaches to resolving issues to the Project Manager.

• Conduct and/or attend joint scope, job, progress, and coordination meetings.

• Prepare notes and minutes of meetings and coordinate the associated follow-up.

• Monitor project activities

• Coordinate consultant and contractor deliverables through thorough understanding of contract deliverables, pre-construction meetings, construction manager orientations, project health assessments, monthly project meetings, and contract closeout checklists.

• Utilize project data to prepare status reports and other specialized reports.

• Review and monitor project schedule; report observations and make related recommendations to Project Manager.

• Make recommendations to Project Manager related to change order proposals.  Assist in the evaluation of claims and make recommendations to Project Manager.

• Develop and maintain records for the project and/or program including contract documents, files, logs, lists and other records, and utilize project management/reporting systems for recording all project activities.

•  Manage assigned projects under the direction of the Project Manager.

Qualifications: 

• 5 years’ experience in structural steel fabrication.

• Basic computer skills.

• Construction field experience including sequencing and installation of work.

• Ability to read and comprehend plans, specifications, addenda, bid materials, contracts and related construction documents.

• Excellent oral and written communications skills.

• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.

SALARY: $70,000+ DOE

• Position would require extensive travel within the South-West footprint (Southern CA, AZ, NM/El Paso, Southern UT, NV)

• Company vehicle and expense card provided while on required travel.
