Atlas Staffing is seeking a Micro Filter Technician to work in a warehouse/production line environment. Do you have open availability? We are seeking a reliable candidate for a client in Selah, WA!

Pay: $DOE.
Shift: Mon-Fri (weekend if needed) 
Must be flexible with all shifts (end time fluctuates based on production)
Day, Swing, and Grave

Responsible to produce juice that meets the requirements of NFC or for concentrating by operating the Micro Filters, Heat Exchanger, Centrifuges and Preheater.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow SOP’s and understand how the system’s work 
    •  Drains/ Lines 
      o Valves 
      o Vent Switches 
      o Controls 
      o Permeate/ Retentate  
      o Manual/ Auto 
      o Systems 
      o Stages
  • Monitor gauges and take samples of micro filtered juice 
  • Check juice supply at centrifuge feed tank
  • Pump juice from supply tanks to Micro Filter feed tanks
  • Fill Micro Filter units
  • Start Micro Filter units
  • Adjust Micro Filter flow as required
  • Open lines and valves to filtered juice tanks
  • Operate heat exchanger system, monitoring flow and temperature.  
  • Operate Centrifuges
  • Maintain Records and Paperwork
  • Communicate Effectively
  • Maintain GMPs

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or (GED).  
  • Six months to one year of position-related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Machine Operating 1-2 years  
  • Forklift Operator 1-2 years

Language Skills: 

  • Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words, and to recognize similarities and differences between words and a series of numbers
  • Ability to communicate in English.  
  • Ability to write simple correspondence  
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, other employees.

Mathematical Skills:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.  
  • Ability to draw and interpret bar graphs. 

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:

  • Statistical Process Control (SPC) 

Technological Requirements:  

  • GMP-training and understanding of standards 
  • HAZCOM/ HAZCAT Training 
  • Record Keeping 
  • MSDS
