We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Packaging Associate/General Labor to join our team. We are a food processing plant in Nampa ID. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our finished products meet quality standards and are accurately identified. 

Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Meet efficiency budget levels while producing high quality products.
  • Ensure the food product is properly sealed before placing it in correct containers.
  • Prepares correct packages and boxes.
  • Loads and operates machines at a set speed and with minimal stops during process.
  • Accurately complete associated CCP (Critical Control Point) and line operation paperwork while maintaining efficiencies.
  • Maintain clean and organized work area.
  • Interact with associates to maintain efficient process flow.
  • Weigh food product.
  • Maintain open line of communication with all line workers and supervisor.
  • Perform sanitation duties as assigned.
  • Ensure proper use, identification, mixture, and application of chemicals, including the requirements and use of Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
  • Perform other work duties as assigned.

Education

  • High School Diploma or completion of GED preferred by not required.

Experience

  • Experience in general cleaning, chemical handling and general labor, with food safety knowledge preferred.

Skills / Abilities

  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • English language and Customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at once with frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to work independently and be part of a team.
  • Knowledge of cleaning methods and cleaning productions.
  • Ability and willingness to adhere to attendance requirements, including regular and punctual attendance.
  • Ability to communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with people from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds.
  • Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe work.

Physical Requirements

  • Standing throughout a 10-12 hour shift
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs throughout a 10-12 hour shift
  • Work in a cold, wet, loud and damp environment

Night Shift: (Must be available and flexible to work 12 hours shifts and Weekends as needed)

  • Monday – Friday 8:00pm to 6:00am
  • Must be available to work until 8:00am and weekends as required based on production needs. Overtime and weekends hours required as needed. There will not be a lot of notice given with OT and weekends.

Wage: $19.28/hr, plus shift differential $22.28/hr
