About the Position
Packaging Associates are responsible for packaging and palletizing customer displays to be sent out to clients across the US. As a packaging associate, you will conduct a final quality inspection and prepare items to be shipped to various retail stores.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Palletize cases, pack units in master cartons and apply labels, as necessary.
Perform rework requirements. -
Conduct required Quality Assurance inspections.

Provide back-up assistance to Material Handler.

Monitor product coding and report problems to Q.A.

Monitor operation of case packing equipment.

Sweep area between workstations and remove any trash in these areas.

General cleanup and waste management
-
Bale cardboard as necessary, sweep area and clear of any trash.

Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and Food Safety and Quality processes.

Comply with Safety and Health Rules

Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
Qualifications:

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

High school education or GED; and/or up to one-year related experience or training.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.

Ability to write simple correspondence.

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to supervisor and other employees of the organization.

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.

Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time; walk; bend; sit; repetitive motion with use of hands and fingers, touch, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee must be able to lift or move up to 50 lbs. as needed. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to climb ladders and stairs.
Hours: Monday-Thursday, 5:30am-4:00pm
Wage: $14.00/hr.
