Job Title: Distribution Center Specialist
Job Type: Temporary (July – End of August), Full-Time/Part-Time
Pay Range: $19 – $21/hr
Hours: 7am to 3:30pm  Monday to Friday (flexibility with hours)

Job Description:

We are seeking a Distribution Center Specialist to join our team for a temporary role from July to the end of August. In this position, you will support the daily operations of receiving, storing, and distributing office equipment, parts, and supplies. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, efficient work habits, and the ability to handle physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a busy warehouse environment, where you'll play a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring timely shipments, and supporting warehouse organization and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and inspect incoming shipments of office equipment, parts, and supplies.

• Verify deliveries for accuracy, quality, and condition. Report any discrepancies or damages and initiate claim processes if needed.

• Unload, unpack, and organize shipments, ensuring they match purchase orders and packing slips.

• Store inventory in appropriate locations within the warehouse.

• Accurately record inventory movement and update the system.

• Prepare items for shipping, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.

• Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.

• Assist in loading and unloading delivery trucks when required.

• Participate in regular warehouse cleaning and maintenance.

• Complete all necessary shipping and receiving paperwork accurately and promptly.

• Collaborate with fellow warehouse associates, drivers, and administrative staff to ensure operational efficiency.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.

• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.

• Assist in training new team members on warehouse operations, safety, and company policies.

Qualifications:

• Ability to lift, carry, and move objects up to 75 lbs regularly.

• Ability to stand, walk, and move around the warehouse for extended periods.

• Ability to work in varying temperature conditions (cold and heat).

• Ability to perform repetitive tasks and manage a physical workload.

• Excellent customer service skills.

• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

• Forklift experience is a plus, but not required.
