Job Title: Vehicle Inspector

Job Description:
We are seeking Vehicle Inspectors for a direct hire, permanent placement opportunity in Portland OR. In this role, you’ll be responsible for performing pre- and post-sale vehicle inspections and preparing the associated documentation. This is a crucial position ensuring vehicles meet quality standards before and after the sale.
As a Vehicle Inspector, you’ll conduct visual inspections, perform test drives on a designated test track, and identify any mechanical issues (e.g., wheel bearings, transmission issues, engine noise, differential problems) that could affect the sale. Work is performed outdoors, so the ability to work in all weather conditions is required.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform pre- and post-sale vehicle inspections thoroughly and efficiently.

Test drive vehicles on a test track to assess performance and identify mechanical issues.

Identify mechanical problems such as transmission issues, wheel bearing problems, engine noises, and differential issues.

Complete inspection reports and related documentation accurately.

Work outdoors in all weather conditions while ensuring vehicles are inspected properly.
Qualifications:

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Strong attendance and punctuality.

Ability to work in adverse weather conditions.

Must be able to get in and out of vehicles with ease and stand/walk for long periods.

Valid driver’s license and a three-year driving abstract required.

Mechanical experience is a plus, but not mandatory.
