HR Generalist
Wage: $24.00 – $29.00/hour
Hours: 6:00am-4:30pm (Monday to Thursday)
Direct Hire/Permanent Placement – (Not contract/temp)
About the Role:
We are a leader in high-performance resilient metal seal technology and production, providing engineered solutions for the aerospace, automotive, power generation, and R&D industries.
As an HR Generalist, you’ll work directly with and report to the HR Manager. This position requires strict confidentiality, excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail. Responsibilities include employee relations, onboarding/training assistance, payroll processing, interview scheduling, and HRIS data entry. This role plays an integral part in supporting both the business and company culture.
Essential Functions:
- Coordinate onboarding for new and contract employees, including:
- Recruiting and candidate communication
- HRIS data entry (ADP)
- Orientation facilitation
- Timeclock setup and badge creation
- Initial benefits enrollment
- Track and maintain compliance training records using QT9 system
- Support payroll processes including:
- Time and attendance reconciliation
- Tracking fringe benefits
- Administer and assist with HR programs, including:
- Compensation, benefits, and leave
- Disciplinary processes and investigations
- Performance and talent management
- Employee recognition, morale, and training/development initiatives
- Provide professional employee relations support, escalating complex issues appropriately
- Assist with company events, open enrollment, job fairs, and departmental meetings
- Serve as backup for safety-related responsibilities when needed
- Perform general HR administrative support, filing, and documentation
- Take on other administrative duties as assigned
Education Requirements:
- Associate degree in HR, Business, or related field required (Bachelor’s preferred)
- SHRM or PHR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- 1+ years of experience in HR or a related field
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Effective interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Strong time management and deadline adherence
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Discretion in handling confidential information
- Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (ADP preferred)
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk working on a computer
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
- Ability to navigate facility between departments

Work Authorization/Security Clearance Requirements:
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
