Job Title: CNC Machine Technician
Location: Boise, ID
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time Temp-Hire

Wage: $22.00 – $25.00 DOE

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Technician to join our Facilities team in Boise ID. In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide variety of production equipment, including CNC machinery. The ideal candidate is mechanically and electrically inclined with a proactive approach to preventive maintenance and a strong sense of urgency when resolving equipment issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repair on CNC machinery and production equipment (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems).
  • Use schematics, blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
  • Conduct tool alignments and spindle calibrations according to specifications.
  • Install, service, and repair electrical components and controls.
  • Collect and analyze machine data for diagnostics and performance tracking.
  • Execute preventive maintenance procedures and track completed work using logs and work orders.
  • Collaborate with contractors and team members to minimize downtime and ensure high-quality repairs.
  • Follow safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and PPE requirements at all times.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in CNC equipment repair and maintenance preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical schematics, manuals, and part diagrams.
  • Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools including multimeters and infrared scanners.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working independently and in a team environment.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Experience:

  • Mid- to high-level break/fix and preventive maintenance background.
  • Experience working with both manual and complex automated CNC machines.
  • Understanding of machine tool controls and PLC systems is a plus.
