Tax Preparer
Location: Spokane, WA 99224
Pay: $20.00 – $30.00/hour DOE
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Type: Permanent, Direct Hire – Full-time, Year-round

As a Tax Preparer, you will leverage your tax expertise to prepare accurate returns, provide strategic guidance, and help clients achieve financial peace of mind.
This is a permanent direct hire position offering year-round stability, consistent income, and the opportunity to build long-term client relationships. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive client interviews to gather financial and tax-related information
• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses
• Stay current on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and accuracy
• Provide expert guidance on tax planning and strategies to minimize liability
• Address client inquiries and resolve tax-related issues efficiently
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive client information professionally
• Assist in resolving discrepancies or complex tax matters as needed

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Minimum 3 years of experience in tax preparation
• In-depth knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
• Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification is a plus
