Position: Production Planning & Inventory Control Coordinator
Location: Spokane, WA
Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:45pm
Wage: $24.00 – $36.00/hour
Overview:
The Production Planning & Inventory Control Coordinator is responsible for creating and maintaining production schedules that ensure timely order fulfillment, balanced workloads across shifts, and efficient use of equipment. This role also manages customer orders and onsite inventory, working closely with manufacturing, customer service, and procurement teams to achieve accurate and timely outcomes.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain production schedules based on sales orders, drawings, and plans for multiple equipment types (e.g., roll form mills, flat sheet, shear, slitter) to optimize hourly production flow.
- Monitor and adjust production plans to meet site capacity, including issuing run lists, production paperwork, and order amendments to accommodate revisions, cancellations, or priority changes.
- Communicate backorder status and manage order updates in collaboration with the Customer Service team.
- Maintain daily and weekly productivity records, tracking throughput capacity and performance.
- Oversee standard stocked flat sheet programs, including purchase requisitions, production order updates, and inventory management to meet customer demand while minimizing aged stock.
- Schedule and participate in cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy across buyout, flat sheet, coil, and finished goods inventories.
- Assist in site-wide bi-annual inventory processes, including inventory-related responsibilities and reconciliations.
- Manage receiving processes, including oversight of incoming materials and proper put-away procedures.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2 years of experience in a high-volume production environment.
- Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience in scheduling or production planning roles.
- SAP experience is strongly preferred.

- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail with production schedules and inventory management.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
