Atlas Staffing is currently seeking a Quality Control Tech to join a steel fabrication company in Spokane. If you have prior experience and are someone who consistently sets high standards for your work, we encourage you to apply today!
This position is responsible for all aspects of observation for material receipt, preparation, fabrication compliance and visual weld / bolting and final inspection and shall report to the QC Supervisor. You will work in cooperation with shop supervision and production personnel to ensure beneficial inspection.
Pay: $24.00 – $34.00 per hour DOE
Shift: Monday-Thursday, 5:00AM-3:30 PM + OT on Fridays as needed
Key Responsibilities & Essential Job Functions

Perform accurate quality inspections of products and materials during production and prior to shipping.

Conduct QC inspections in various environments, including indoors and outdoors, and in conditions such as heat, cold, and rain.

Coordinate QC inspections with supervisors to ensure production schedules and delivery dates are met.

Work collaboratively with supervisors, shop management, and QC personnel to meet and exceed quality requirements.

Identify quality issues and coordinate with supervisors and shop personnel to resolve them, including stopping work when necessary.

Review and interpret drawings, procedures, and specifications as directed by the QC Supervisor.

Utilize computerized scan systems and time clock systems to track QC activities and job/project hours.

Follow all SFOR safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Understand, comply with, and effectively communicate SFOR procedures and directives.

Perform additional duties as assigned by the QC Supervisor.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong communication skills and professional demeanor when representing the company.

Good math skills with the ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.

Ability to follow established processes and procedures accurately.

Ability to function effectively as part of a team and maintain positive working relationships.

Computer proficiency, including opening and reading drawings, creating and modifying spreadsheets, and operating standard Microsoft programs.

Ability to understand, retain, and apply training related to codes and specifications, with an interest in expanding code knowledge.

Technical knowledge of weld inspection measuring devices and tools (required).

Willingness to work toward Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) qualifications.

Interest in pursuing AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification (preferred).
