Material Handler
Location: Spokane, WA
Pay Range: $22.00 – $25.00 per hour + $3.50 shift differential

Day Shift: Mon-Thurs 5 AM to 3:30 PM + OT on Fridays
Swing Shift: Mon-Thurs 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM + OT on Fridays

Overview
We’re seeking dependable Material Handlers to join our Spokane fabrication facility. Material Handlers play a key role in supporting production and shipping operations by safely moving, staging, and organizing steel materials throughout the plant and yard. This is a great opportunity for candidates who are safety-minded, organized, and experienced with material-handling equipment.
Responsibilities

  • Move, load, and unload structural steel materials throughout the facility and yard using forklifts, cranes, and rigging equipment
  • Stage and organize materials to support fabrication, shipping, and receiving schedules
  • Assist in inventory tracking and control to ensure accuracy of material counts and placement
  • Operate overhead cranes and forklifts safely and efficiently
  • Perform daily inspections of equipment and maintain clean, safe work areas
  • Work closely with production and shipping teams to meet project deadlines
  • Follow all safety guidelines, company procedures, and quality standards

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of material handling experience, preferably in a steel or heavy manufacturing environment
  • Experience with forklifts and overhead cranes required
  • Knowledge of load securement and rigging safety a plus
  • Ability to read job tickets, labels, and material lists accurately
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
