 Assembly Shop Lead – Manufacturing
Location: Boise, ID
Pay: $22.00–$24.00/hr (DOE)
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Job Overview
Atlas Staffing is hiring a Shop Lead for a busy industrial manufacturing operation in Boise, Idaho. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for supporting daily production, guiding team members, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. The ideal candidate leads by example, stays actively involved on the floor, and helps keep operations running smoothly.

Role Purpose
The Shop Lead oversees day-to-day shop activities while actively participating in production. This role supports the build process for industrial heating products by coordinating workflow, assisting team members, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring deadlines are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support daily shop operations and production workflow
  • Provide direction, training, and support to shop team members
  • Read and interpret measurements for production work
  • Assemble industrial heating products to specifications
  • Cut stainless steel and titanium tubing
  • Deburr materials and prepare components for assembly
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and air tools
  • Build crates and prepare finished products for shipment
  • Oversee packaging, shipping, and receiving activities
  • Monitor production output and help meet deadlines and quotas
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Identify production issues and assist with basic troubleshooting
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Previous manufacturing or shop experience required
  • Prior leadership or lead experience preferred
  • Strong ability to read a measuring tape and perform basic math
  • Comfortable training others and providing direction
  • Hands-on experience with tools and shop equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stay active throughout the shift
  • Reliable attendance and strong team-oriented mindset
