Powder Coater Wage: $18.00-$18.00 but opportunity for more based on experience
Powder Coater Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM + OT
OT hours are 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM and half days on Saturdays, 5:00 AM to 10:00 AM)
Powder Coater Functions and Duties:
Daily Production Plan
-
Meet/complete the daily production requirement as set by Production Management.

Ensure all production paperwork is completed as required
-
Use Material Identification tags/forms to ensure all production materials are identified and status is known at all times.

Raise awareness of any production issues, to Production Management
-
Use work instructions and engineering drawings to guide and check work.
Production Equipment and Tools
-
Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on equipment in use.
-
Perform or help perform scheduled periodic maintenance on equipment in use.

Identify machine problems or concerns, reports to Production Lead.
-
Use equipment, machines and tools safely.
-
Report any excessive wear of tools and equipment to Production Lead.

Check that all measuring tools are labeled, calibrated, and used as required.

Check that all shop aids, and fixtures are labeled and stored appropriately.
Daily Operations
-
Ensure daily shift to shift communication occurs effectively
-
Move completed jobs (paperwork) and material between process operations
-
Report any defects discovered in work in process materials
-
Help to identify causes of scrap and rework
-
Understand Quality Management system requirements with respect to work area.

Ensure all customer owned property is identified, used, stored, and protected as appropriate.

Monitor work area for any safety issues, report problems to Production Management or member of Safety committee.

Practice good housekeeping; assure a neat and orderly work area.

Takes ownership for responsibilities assigned by Production Lead or Production Manager.

Perform daily time clock tasks responsibly
Powder Coater Skills and Qualifications
-
High school diploma or equivalent
-
Powder coating experience preferred but not required
-
Some experience in custom sheet metal product manufacturing is desired
-
Strong communication skills
-
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools
-
Ability to learn and operate various pieces of production machines and equipment
-
Ability to identify or solve basic problems
-
Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment
