Atlas Staffing is hiring a Engineering Manager for a reputable manufacturing company located in Liberty Lake!
Summary:
The Engineering Manager is responsible for engineering leadership, manufacturing process development, technical customer engagement, and KPI monitoring and reporting. This role ensures that customer requirements, quality standards, and financial objectives are achieved while supporting operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related experience
- 5+ years of engineering leadership experience
- Manufacturing experience (injection molding, precision machining preferred)
- Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) and continuous improvement (Lean Six Sigma)
- Aerospace, defense, or medical industry experience preferred
- CAD (e.g., SolidWorks) and Microsoft Office proficiency
- Strong leadership, analytical, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of quality systems (AS9100, ISO 9001, ISO 13485) preferred
Key Responsibilities
Engineering Leadership
- Lead and develop engineering teams; set performance expectations
- Foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Customer & Technical Support
- Act as technical liaison for customers and sales
- Support design reviews, manufacturability, and issue resolution
Design & Manufacturing
- Review designs for manufacturability, quality, and cost
- Apply DFM/DFA, value engineering, and APQP principles
Quoting & Estimating
- Prepare accurate product and tooling quotes
- Align costing with operations and financial performance
New Product Introduction (NPI)
- Lead projects from concept through production
- Oversee validation, FAI, documentation, and timelines
Process Improvement
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes
- Drive Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives
Sustaining Engineering
- Manage engineering changes, BOM accuracy, and documentation
- Support production with ongoing technical issues
R&D & Innovation
- Evaluate new technologies, materials, and automation opportunities
Performance Metrics
- Track KPIs (on-time delivery, yield, scrap, process capability)
- Use data to drive improvements
Wage: $100,000 – $120,000 DOE
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM
