Structural Engineer Project Manager – $88,000 to $105,000/year
Location: Remote – West Coast location
Schedule: Full-Time  
Join a respected structural engineering firm with over 60 years of experience serving clients across Washington, Idaho, Oregon, and California. As a Structural Engineer Project Manager, you’ll take the lead on a wide variety of mixed-use and podium projects, working primarily with steel-over-concrete structures. This position offers an opportunity to manage complex designs, mentor others, and contribute to a team that values professionalism, independence, and long-term career growth.
Key Responsibilities
- 
Perform structural design calculations for gravity and lateral systems. 
- 
Lead the design and documentation of mixed-use and podium projects (steel over concrete). 
- 
Develop clear, detailed, and accurate construction documents, plans, and details. 
- 
Manage project budgets, schedules, and quality assurance. 
- 
Review shop drawings and respond to RFIs during construction. 
- 
Collaborate with project engineers while mentoring and guiding their development. 
- 
Work both independently and as part of a collaborative team on shared projects. 
- 
Maintain proactive communication with internal teams and project stakeholders. 
Qualifications
- 
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. 
- 
Professional Engineer (P.E.) and Structural Engineer (S.E.) license required. 
- 
7+ years of experience in structural design and project management. 
- 
Familiarity with IBC, ASCE 7, and wood, steel, concrete, and masonry codes. 
- 
Proficient in RISA (design software); experience with RAM and Enercalc preferred. 
- 
Knowledge of CAD and Revit is a plus. 
- 
Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills. 
- 
Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision. 
- 
Demonstrates sound judgment — knows when to ask for help and when to lead with confidence. 
-
