Summary
Atlas Staffing is hiring a Shop Janitor for a manufacturing company in Nampa, Idaho. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in keeping a shop clean, safe, and ready for production by supporting cleanup tasks throughout the workday.
Role Purpose
The Shop Janitor helps keep the production floor clean and organized so fabrication teams can stay focused on their work. This person supports shop flow by cleaning equipment after use, sweeping open work areas, removing trash, and helping maintain a safe work environment.
Responsibilities
- Clean equipment after use so production can continue moving
- Sweep floors in shop areas that are not actively in use
- Empty trash from the shop floor and dispose of waste properly
- Help keep production areas clean, organized, and safe throughout the shift
- Support cleanup needs for fabrication teams as work is completed
- Identify and report any safety concerns or cleanup issues to a supervisor
- Follow shop safety procedures and wear required PPE
- Help with general housekeeping across the shop as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Prior janitorial, shop cleanup, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferred
- Able to work independently and stay on task throughout the shift
- Strong attention to detail and awareness of shop safety
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling throughout the day
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Pay
$18.00 to $19.00 per hour DOE
Available Shifts
Monday to Friday
6:00am to 2:30pm
