Job Title: Quality Inspector (Machined Parts)
Wage: $24.30/hr
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Location: Nampa, ID

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector with experience inspecting machined parts and mechanical components. In this role, you will be responsible for verifying that precision parts meet engineering specifications, dimensional tolerances, and quality standards throughout the production process.
This position plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, fit, and function of components used in manufacturing and assembly. If you have a strong background in dimensional inspection, blueprint reading, and working with tight tolerances, this is a great opportunity to join a quality-driven team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections on machined parts and mechanical components
- Inspect parts for dimensional accuracy, tolerances, surface finish, and overall conformance
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and indicators
- Identify and document non-conforming parts, including defects such as out-of-tolerance dimensions or surface imperfections
- Maintain detailed inspection records and complete quality documentation
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues
- Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and production teams to resolve discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, procedures, and audit requirements
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work area
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required (technical or machining training preferred)
- 2+ years of quality inspection experience in a machining or manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of mechanical drawings, tolerances, and GD&T
- Hands-on experience with precision measuring tools and inspection equipment
- Ability to inspect parts with tight tolerances and critical dimensions
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
