Atlas Staffing is hiring a Distribution Center Material Handler for a great company in Post Falls, ID. This is a temp-to-hire warehouse role supporting distribution center operations through accurate sorting, scanning, staging, wrapping, and loading of merchandise.

Distribution Center Material Handler

Summary

The Distribution Center Material Handler helps keep freight moving efficiently and accurately through the distribution center. This role is responsible for sorting product by customer stop code, staging loads in proper delivery sequence, and helping ensure merchandise is scanned, secured, and ready for transport.

Role Purpose

Support daily distribution center operations by preparing merchandise for outbound delivery, maintaining quality standards, and helping ensure each truck run is loaded accurately and safely.

Responsibilities

  • Read and follow truck loading forecast summaries.

  • Set up truck runs based on load forecast information.

  • Identify, sort, and stage merchandise by customer stop code.

  • Operate handheld scanners to track and verify product movement.

  • Stack pallets properly to protect product and reduce customer service issues.

  • Load and secure merchandise according to delivery sequence and safety standards.

  • Communicate truck run changes with transportation.

  • Maintain quality, accuracy, and housekeeping standards in the distribution center.

  • Follow supervisor direction and support team priorities as needed.

  • Obtain power equipment certifications as required, including electric power jack, walker/rider, and forklift.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma preferred.

  • Strong attendance and reliable schedule predictability required.

  • Commitment to safety and willingness to follow all safety policies and practices.

  • Ability to work overtime when needed.

  • Good comprehension, organization, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to interact effectively with other departments and all levels of management.

  • Ability to maintain accurate records and meet deadlines.

  • Team player with a can-do attitude.

  • Power equipment certification is a plus.

  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and meet the physical requirements of the position.

Pay

  • $18.40/hr

Available Shifts

  • Day Shift

  • 8:00am to 4:30pm
